Sepele Mahogany End Table with Maple Inlay
This elegant end table features solid ribbon sepele which is in the mahogany family of hardwoods. It has a tight grain and beautiful shimmering ribbon figuring. Bevel edge profiles and tapered legs add to the mix of classic and mid-century modern feels. Clipped corners and square Maple inlays have a pleasing geometric effect. The large and low dimensions make this table perfect for next to a sofa but it would also work great between sitting chairs as a conversation arrangement or as a large format bedside table.
Finished with Rubio Monocoat. This hard wax oil finish is a perfect balance of lustrous satin warmth and water/heat/scratch resistance. A technological upgrade to surface finishes like lacquer and polyurethane this modern finish absorbs into the wood fibers then polymerizes to form a protective layer within the wood. Unlike surface finishes hard wax oil can be repaired and restored easily on site without sanding.
